Luca Scacchetti was born in Milan in 1952. He obtained an architectural degree at the Politecnico of Milan. For several years since then he has been teaching in various institutes: at the Milan Polytechnic, the European School of Design, and the Brera Academy in Milan. He is the writer of various essays and articles on different topics regarding the history of architecture, the methodology of architectural planning and the relations between these and industrial design.
He ran projects throughout Italy and in France, Spain, The Netherlands, Russia, Greece, Cyprus, Japan, Armenia, Kazakhstan and other countries. He carried out a project in China for Shanghai Expo2010 involving a new neighborhood in PJ South – Shanghai. In product design field he cooperates with the leading worldwide manufacturers of furniture as Rubelli, Poltrona FRAU, Contempo and Misura Emme, etc.
Luca devotes his whole life to designing and teaching, passionate about practice and a fresh burst of new ideas made great influence. He lived a design life for more than sixty years and accomplished great things.
